Abdul Raffay

I’m a researcher and designer based in Ireland. I work with the simple goal of stepping out of mediocrity. I’ve found my passion in the journey of understanding and optimisation of design processes. My forte is working on UI/UX research and design projects and designing branding identities.

I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 2019 from the National University of Sciences & Technology, but owing to my passion for visual arts I continued learning and working in this field. After exploring different design fields through the years, I mainly focus on UI/UX Design projects. I completed my MA in Interaction Design from South East Technological University, Carlow in 2023/24.

I started working under the name  “Unmediocre Studio” in 2021 based on my ideology of producing work that is beyond mediocre. In my work, I strive to create designs that solve problems with complete empathy for the stakeholder's needs.

Experimenting with different design fields has allowed me to compile a diverse portfolio that includes UI/UX Designs, social media designs, posters, logo designs & brand identities and digital artworks.
